Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), presided over the closing ceremony of the Thailand Invitation Ice Hockey Championship 2026, held for the Royal Cup graciously bestowed by Her Majesty the Queen. The Governor presented medals and trophies to the winning teams at the conclusion of the tournament.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Thatchanat Thongprakob, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand for Strategy and Information Technology, and Ms. Phawasutthi Chotikasatian, Executive of The Theatre of Dream Co., Ltd. The event took place at the Thailand International Ice Hockey Arena in Huai Khwang District, Bangkok, on July 25, 2026.
The final of the Thailand Invitation Ice Hockey Championship 2026 – Under-20 Division featured an exciting matchup between Thailand Selects Blue and Intl North Stars. Thailand Selects Blue delivered a strong performance, defeating Intl North Stars 4–2 to claim the championship title.
The tournament was organized in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen and as part of ongoing efforts to elevate the standard of ice hockey in Thailand to the international level. The event aimed to promote the development of young athletes, provide valuable competitive experience, inspire the next generation, and support the continued growth of ice hockey in the country.
Beyond athletic development, the competition also sought to foster the holistic development of young athletes—physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially—while helping to increase public awareness and recognition of ice hockey in Thailand.
Through sport, the tournament also promoted important values and life skills, including knowing how to accept victory and defeat, showing respect and forgiveness, demonstrating sportsmanship, and maintaining integrity both on and off the ice.
